Accessibility Policy
At The Sound Healing Spa, we are committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for all visitors. Our aim is to ensure that everyone can experience the restorative power of sound comfortably, safely, and with dignity.
Access to Experiences
All Sound Healing Spa events and experiences are designed to be inclusive and supportive.
We welcome participants of all ages and abilities, and we encourage anyone with specific access requirements to contact us before booking so that we can make suitable arrangements.
Studio Access
Our studio, located beside WWT Castle Espie, is on ground level and accessible for visitors with some mobility challenges.
However, please note that it is not currently wheelchair accessible.
We recognise that accessibility needs vary. For visitors who are unable to access the studio, The Sound Healing Spa also delivers events in partnership with venues that provide fully accessible facilities, including step-free access and accessible toilets.
Accessibility information for each event or venue will be clearly communicated at the time of booking.
Inclusive Approach
Wherever possible, adjustments can be made to accommodate individual needs — such as additional time for movement, varied seating, or quieter moments during sessions.
An allocated number of complimentary carer spaces are available for specific events.
Please contact us in advance to confirm availability when booking.
Inclusive experiences for sound sensory challenges
The use of sound in a therapeutic context is becoming increasingly valued.
At The Sound Healing Spa we work with the therapeutic application of sound to raise awareness of sound, while at the same time supporting clients to become comfortable with sound.
For our clients and visitors with sound sensory challenges, we explore different types of sounds to promote relaxation and reduce anxiety while supporting an individual to be able to cope with the environment they’re in.
Delivered in a safe sound environment, we use different types of sound as a way to help a client become aware to understand the effects of the sound for them personally.
At events we use sound to create calm and relaxing spaces for those with sound sensory challenges.
