Level 1 — Integrative Sound for Wellbeing
Listening-Led Sound Awareness & Foundational Playing
A small-group, experiential course offered as reflective Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and personal development.
This course explores sound as a listening-led, relational, and embodied practice, grounded in awareness, somatic experience, and ethical integration rather than performance, technique, or outcome.
Who Is This Course For?
This course is open to both practitioners and non-practitioners who are drawn to sound as a listening-led, sensory, and reflective practice.
This course is suitable for:
✔ Wellbeing practitioners
Including qualified and insured yoga teachers, movement practitioners, and those working with body-based or somatic-informed approaches in supportive, non-clinical settings, who wish to integrate listening-led sound awareness and foundational playing gently and ethically within their existing scope of practice.
For practitioners, this course may be used as reflective Continuing Professional Development (CPD), subject to individual insurance terms and organisational policies.
✔ Individuals seeking personal development
Who are drawn to sound for self-care, embodied listening, and reflective exploration, and who wish to deepen their relationship with sound without intention to offer sound professionally.
Participants attending for personal development are supported to work with sound for personal use and reflective exploration only.
Those working in educational, care, or clinical-adjacent settings may also find this course valuable as reflective CPD to inform listening, pacing, and sensory awareness, rather than as clinical or therapeutic training.
Course Format & Schedule
This course is delivered in three parts to allow time for personal experience, reflection, and integration, recognising that learning with sound unfolds over time.

What Is Explored on This Course?
This Level 1 course introduces sound as a relational and sensory experience, grounded in listening, awareness, and observation rather than technique or outcome.
Participants learn through experience, observation, and reflection to:
- Develop understanding of how sound is perceived by the body, nervous system, and environment
- Explore sound and instruments for personal practice and practitioner self-care
- Learn how sound may be gently integrated alongside existing wellbeing practices, rather than applied as a standalone modality
- Develop discernment around when — and when not — to use sound
- Gain contextual understanding of sound experiences often referred to as “sound baths”.
Foundational, listening-led playing approaches are introduced to support sensitivity, restraint, and responsive engagement with sound.
