Integration and Mentoring Pathway
This pathway supports the transition from initial learning into lived, applied practice.
Designed for practitioners who have completed Level 1 training, it offers space to deepen understanding through practice, application, and supported development
Rather than adding techniques, the focus is on how sound is played, experienced, and responded to within real situations — personally and in relation to others.
It provides a structured yet flexible bridge between initial training and further professional development, including progression towards Diploma-level study where appropriate.
How Mentoring is Offered
Mentoring is offered on an individual or small-group basis, providing space for reflection, discussion, and guidance as practitioners begin to integrate sound within their own work.
Sessions are shaped around lived experience and real-world context.
The emphasis is on playing, listening, and response, grounded in observation and embodied awareness rather than technique or performance.
Mentoring Options
Integration Mentoring
A focused series of three sessions, supporting early-stage integration of learning into personal or professional practice.
Suitable for those beginning to apply sound awareness and seeking clarity, confidence, and direction.
Integration and Development Mentoring
A series of four sessions offering extended support as practitioners deepen consistency, discernment, and confidence in how sound is used within practice.
Suitable for those already beginning to integrate sound and wishing to develop a more grounded and responsive approach.
Mentoring may take place in person or online, depending on what is most appropriate.
Bespoke or Contextual Mentoring
Mentoring may also be offered on a bespoke basis for individuals or small groups working within specific professional contexts or settings.
This work is shaped around the environment, role, or group context in which sound is being introduced, and may involve a greater level of preparation, guidance, and ongoing support.

Progression and Ongoing Mentoring
For those who wish to continue from Level 1, this pathway supports the development of applied practice in preparation for diploma-level training, where appropriate.
It offers a way to begin working with sound in a supported and reflective way, allowing time for application, integration, and guidance before moving into practitioner-level training.
If you later apply for the diploma, relevant learning and experience gained through mentoring may be recognised as part of your ongoing development. Where appropriate, mentoring fees may also be deducted from the diploma fee.
If you are considering the October intake, mentoring offers an opportunity to begin developing your practice in advance.
The Integration & Mentoring Pathway is also available following diploma-level training, offering ongoing space for reflection, guidance, and continued professional development.
This supports practitioners to deepen their understanding, refine their approach, and remain responsive in their work over time.
