The Hidden Influence of Sound

A Sound Experience with Tessa Ann

Sound surrounds us every day, yet most of us rarely stop to consider how deeply it influences the way we feel, think and experience the world around us.

Why do certain sounds instantly help us relax while others capture our attention, evoke memories or stir emotions? Why can two people hear exactly the same sound and have completely different experiences?

Join Tessa Ann for a unique immersive evening exploring our relationship with sound through stories, observations, reflection and a deeply relaxing sound experience.

About the Experience

Drawing upon more than 25 years of experience working with sound in wellbeing, education, heritage and public settings, Tessa invites you to become more curious about the sounds that shape your everyday life and the different ways we each respond to them.

The evening will begin with a gentle exploration of sound through stories, observations and live demonstrations before moving into an immersive sound experience featuring singing bowls, gongs, percussion, voice and soundscapes.

Following the sound experience, there will be an opportunity for reflection and discussion, offering fresh perspectives on the role sound plays in our lives, our memories and the environments around us.

Whether you are attending your first sound experience or returning for another evening of immersive sound, this event offers an opportunity to relax, listen, reflect and perhaps discover something new about your own relationship with sound.

What to Expect
