Exploring Sound as a Therapeutic Practice
Working with Groups | CPD Practitioner Development
Develop confidence in facilitating group sound experiences.
This CPD practitioner development programme is designed for those who wish to explore the practical application of sound within group settings.
Building upon principles introduced through sound awareness and listening-led practice, the programme supports the development of confidence, practical understanding, and professional awareness when working with groups.
The emphasis is not on performance or fixed techniques, but on listening, participant experience, group facilitation, and responsive practice.
Participants explore how sound may be introduced, structured, and adapted within group settings in a way that is safe, appropriate, and responsive to those attending.
About This Training
Working with groups involves more than learning how to play instruments.
It involves understanding how sound is experienced within a shared environment, how people may respond differently, and how sound may be offered in a way that supports wellbeing, presence, and participation.
This training provides an opportunity to develop confidence through practical exploration, discussion, observation, and guided application.
The focus is on facilitating group experiences rather than delivering predetermined outcomes.
